Turtles

Turtles are like tanks.  They have mega armor, and snapping turtles can snap your hand off.  A big snapping turtle can snap your arm off and stuff.

Turtle's shells are attached to their body.  Do not try to rip the shell off, it will kill the turtle.

Some turtles can get to 150 pounds and some can live to 200 years old.  That is an old turtle!

Adult female sea turtles come to the beach to lay their eggs.  When the eggs hatch, the baby turtles try to get to the water.  Five out of 30 make it to the water.  Big birds will eat them for dinner.

Turtles can be good friends to each other
and to us, so we should take care of them!
